Picea jezoensis (Siebold & Zucc.) Carri?e

아고산성 상록 교목. 높이 40m. 지름이 1m. 수관은 원추형. 수피가 비늘처럼 벗겨진다. 겨울눈 및 소지 원추형, 수지로 덮여있다. 소지는 털이 없고 누른빛이 돈다. 잎 편평, 선형 예두, 곧거나 구부러진다. 길이 10-20mm로서 표면 가까운 양쪽에 수지구가 존재한다. 배우체 수배우체는 원통형, 길이 15mm, 황갈색, 암배우체는 타원형, 길이 15mm, 연한 자주색이다. 구과 황록색, 원통형 또는 원통상 타원형, 길이 4.0- 7.5cm, 씨앗바늘은 도란형 또는 마름모 비슷한 긴타원형이며, 윗 가장자리에 불규칙한 톱니가 존재한다. 포는 작고 침형, 뾰족하다. 종자 달걀형 원두, 길이 24-30mm, 흑갈색이 돌며 날개는 긴 타원형이며, 길이 7mm이다.

분류학적 소견 러시아에서는 P. ajanensis Fisch. ex Carrière 로 별개의 종으로 보거나, 일본혼슈에서는 구과의 크기가 작은 것은 var. hondoensis(Mayr) Render, 북한과 중국 동북 지역에서는 var. komarovii 로 구분 하지만 전체개체를 조사해 보면 연속변이다(Park et al., 2010).

Taxonomic notes:  Circumscription of Picea ajanensis Fisch. ex Carrière in Russia, P. jezoensis var. hondoensis (Mayr) Render in central Japan, and var. komarovii in North Korea and Heilongjiang have been quite troublesome under the P. jezoensis complex. Differences in cone size and twig color within this complex are minor and it is easy to be misled by the considerable variation in these characters.  Several morphs of this complex are clearly a member of the single species and should be synomized under P. jezoensis.
